The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, has visited with the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, the facilities of the Early Care Center.
Violante Tomás has verified the work carried out by the professionals who work in a center that in 2017 attended 169 users.
During the visit, the counselor announced the extension of the amount assigned by her department to the City of Mazarrón for 19,000 euros for the service provided by the Early Intervention Center.
In total this center will now receive the amount of 123,335 euros.
Alicia Jiménez has been "very satisfied by this new economic allocation" while the Early Care Decree that prepares the Regional Government and will allocate a grant according to the number of children and hours that are provided.
Violante Tomás explained that "early stimulation includes a set of activities that can be applied from birth to age 6, which is the age group with the greatest cerebral plasticity".
In addition, the parents receive specific information, since they are the ones that obtain the best results with their children.
Likewise, there are several nurseries and initial cycle schools that carry out early stimulation activities in their classrooms.
During the visit, the mayor and counselor were accompanied by the Councilor for Social Policy, Laura Ortiz and the director of the Day and Early Care Center, Salvador Sánchez.
