Mazarrón renewed his preserve as a village on the Day of Miracle during a solemn ceremony that took place in the Sanctuary of the Immaculate.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, complied with the tradition in the 433 anniversary of the events that took place on November 17, 1585 and that were recorded by the civil and religious authorities of the moment.
The holy mass officiated by the parish priest Antonio José Martínez was attended by the counselor of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera.
Alicia Jiménez delivered, as tradition dictates, the baton of control to the Patron Saint Next, and after the blessing of the oil of the lamp of the Virgin, the procession took place with the image of the Immaculate Conception of Bolnuevo from the Sanctuary to the Church of San Andrés, where he proceeded to a floral offering.
