The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the councilman of Celebrations, Patricio Sanchez, have presented this Friday the programming of the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of the Purísima Concepción.
Jiménez has been accompanied by the local artist, Tomás Raja, author of the painting that stars in the cover image of the book of the festivities that is already available at the usual distribution points and whose donation of 1 euro will be destined in this occasion to the Association of Animal Protection of Mazarrón (APROAMA).
The image is a watercolor that collects an aerial perspective with the Sanctuary of the Immaculate as the main element.
The artist has shown his satisfaction for having selected this painting as a cover.
Alicia Jiménez has encouraged all Mazarron to enjoy a celebration open to all audiences with prominence of events already consolidated with the Day fair and gAstrogAllo on the one hand and with concerts at the Fairgrounds of Los Rincones on the other.
gAstrogAllo is an important part of the gastronomic offer of some festivities that also include the route of the tapa.
13 stores will offer their best culinary creations in the Cresta del Gallo building from December 6 to 9 between 12:00 and 17:00.
On the other hand, nine stores participate this year in the Ruta de la Cappa de las Fiestas Patronales between November 29 and December 9.
The festivities will begin on Thursday, November 29 with the reading of the inaugural speech by the mazarronera Leonor María Alonso García, labor advisor.
The act will take place in the Parish Center of Mazarrón from 9:30 p.m.
On Saturday 1, there will be the Queen's Choice Gala of the 2018 Festivities for which eight candidates have submitted their candidacy.
It will be in the tent of the Fairground from 21:30 hours, while the children's choice will be on Sunday December 2 at 4:00 pm and then at 6:00 pm the Exhibition of the Dance Schools of Antonio Jara, Juan Antonio Iglesias and Terpsícore.
On December 6, following the tradition, the institutional acts of homage to the victims of the concentration camp of Mautahausen will be carried out, followed by the extraordinary plenary session on the occasion of the Constitution Day, a children's event and a tribute to the Spanish flag in the Avenue of the Constitution.
That day will also be celebrated Tomato Day with the distribution of this characteristic product of the municipality by the queen and ladies of the parties.
gAstrogAllo will open at 12:00 and the Day Fair at 2:00 p.m.
The Day of the Major will be held on Tuesday, December 4 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and then the traditional coexistence of districts.
The float parade will culminate the festivities on Sunday December 9 with a higher participation according to the advancement of the Councilman of Celebrations, Patricio Sánchez.
Mikel Erentxun, Los Rubujitos, The Tracks and El Luiso will put the musical note
The music will be as usual one of the great protagonists, in the festivities of Mazarrón.
The local artists will once again have prominence with El Luiso, who will perform together with Los Rebujitos on Friday, December 7, Mara Bang Band, on Thursday, the 6th, Blue Zone, on Wednesday, the 5th, Glow Bizness on Sunday, December 9, and the local DJs in repeated occasions
In addition, the association Almazarock brings us a new concert scheduled for Friday, November 30 with the groups Notthingham Prisa, Anticyclone, LaPlaza, Erotic Psycho and Muro.
Mikel Erentxun will perform on Saturday December 8 at 22:00 in the Fairground.
and Los Happys by Antonio Hidalgo, on Thursday, December 6 at 10 p.m.
The Tracks will perform on Saturday the 8th at the Day Fair starting at 4:00 p.m.
Thirty liturgical acts
The parish priest of San Andrés and San Antonio, Antonio José Martínez has detailed the thirty liturgical acts included in the programming of the celebrations in honor of the Purísima Concepción with a special mention for day 8, patron's day.
The Solemn Mass of 12:00 in the Sanctuary of the Immaculate will be pronounced by Juan Carlos García Domene, director of the Center for Theological Studies of San Fulgencio.
The floral offering to the Immaculate Conception will take place on Saturday, December 6 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
