The City of Mazarrón and the Red Cross have signed on Tuesday the agreement that allows the NGO to fulfill its work of social, health and life support in the municipality.
The subsidy of 132,000 euros is managed through the Local Office of the Red Cross.
The firm has had the signature of the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, and the president of the Red Cross Local Assembly, Carmen Navarro.
Also present at the event were Laura Martínez, councilor for Civil Protection, Pedro Vivancos, vice president of the Red Cross in Mazarrón and Daniel Aragón, member of the Municipal Emergency Service.
The clauses of the agreement include relief actions, emergencies and urgent sanitary transport, mobilization of socio-health and psychosocial resources in case of activation of the Municipal Emergency Plan, driving and handling of vehicles and vessels assigned to Civil Protection, relief and attention activities of emergencies in public and sports events, communication with CECOPAL, promotion of youth activities with volunteering and collaboration in prevention campaigns and health promotion, among others.
The validity of the agreement is annual.
