This Monday, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, from the Day Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities, the 'I Pedestrian March' has been organized through the streets of the municipality, in which some 450 people participated, between centers educational, families and all those people who wanted to join the activities organized during this day.
The reading of a manifesto by a user of the Day Center, opened this day, which was attended by Alicia Jiménez, mayor of the municipality and Laura Ortiz, councilor for Social Policy.
At the end of the march, the participants were provided with a small supply, which was donated by different shops in the municipality.
A session of Zumba, given by Juan Antonio Iglesias, put the end to this day.
Among the objectives that are intended with this march, are, among others, the visibility of the group of people with disabilities and the awareness of society, in order to promote their social inclusion.
From the Day Center, they wish to thank all those who have joined the activities of this day.
