The real estate developer Urbincasa completes the procedures with the City of Mazarrón to present in January 2019 the urbanization project of the sector 'El Faro' in which he has been working for a decade.
On an area of ​​more than one hundred thousand square meters, Urbincasa plans to build four hundred new homes, more than 32,000 m2 of residential roof.
Given that it has an area of ​​180,073.67 m2 in the area, the developer has planned to cede more than 77,000 m2 free of charge to the City Council, the remaining land once the management of the Action Unit is completed, although it is not required by the approach town.
Of this surface, the cession of 22.548m2 destined to gardens and environmental and cultural itineraries is foreseen.
In addition, there is a plot called No. 14 with an area of ​​1,687m2 for environmental reserve, which will receive special attention for the conservation of habitat, maintaining native species and preventing the development of invasive species, as well as the possible influence that the execution may have. of the works.
Likewise, the installation of a museum that will host the location of the Phoenician Ship will take place on a plot of 8,862m2 that Urbincasa will give free of charge, as well as a plot of 380m2 of public dotational equipment, for the conservation of the bases of the Altos Hornos of the Santa Elisa foundry, of cultural interest.
«We return 40% of the surface of our property to the residents of Mazarrón to contribute to the development of environmental and cultural actions, which directly influence the quality of life of all residents of the area» says the CEO of Urbincasa , Francisco Cervantes.
"The development of the project involves a strong economic investment that will undoubtedly have a positive impact both on the economy of the residents and on the collection of taxes for the Municipality of Mazarrón," says Cervantes.
For the construction works, the amount is expected to exceed 31 million euros and 18 million euros more for housing equipment, which together with the payment of municipal taxes (€ 1.2 million) means an investment of more than 50 million euros of euros and the creation of more than one hundred jobs.
Urbincasa has been betting on the municipality of Mazarrón for decades.
In particular, it has previously developed an Action Unit in the port of Mazarrón called Parque del Faro and is currently developing the El Faro Sector Partial Plan, which is located between the port and the beach of La Isla. An enclave privileged by its natural environment and its central location, fully consolidated.
