Mazarrón will host the preliminary stage of the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Selections for Men's Indoor Soccer from January 22 to 27.
The sporting event was presented by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the Sports Councilor, Patricio Sánchez, together with the president of the Futsal Committee of the Region of Murcia, Luciano Herrero.
The teams from La Rioja, Navarra, Ceuta, Canarias and Murcia will compete in Mazarrón for six days.
The matches will be played in the municipal pavilions of La Aceña and the CEIP Miguel Delibes.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, has highlighted the importance of an event that will project the name of the municipality and will affect the hospitality sector during a few days of Winter.
"With activities of this type we managed to deseasonalise the tourist offer," said the mayor.
The event has the support of the local futsal teams.
