The municipality will present more than 500 activities, its inclusion in the European itinerary of the Phoenician Route and the promotional expansion of the Mazarron Trekker project for use by the Greenways Consortium
Mazarrón will take advantage of its presence at the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR) to show the potential of its tourist offer scheduled for 2019. There will be 552 activities that include those already offered successfully in recent years and others that have been born responding to the demands of neighbors and visitors.
This offer that will unfold the municipality next Friday January 25 (12:00 hours) in the regional stand has been advanced by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, along with the councilor for Tourism, María Ángeles Román and the technician and responsible for the Municipal Tourism Office, Pío Garrido.
The bulk of the municipal tourist offer consists of cultural and hiking routes.
22 departures will be programmed to know the cultural heritage of the municipality, its archaeological sites, its cultural centers such as Town Halls, as well as places linked to the life and economic activity of the municipality, such as the Fish Market of Puerto de Mazarrón.
On the other hand, 22 guided hiking routes allow you to delve into the landscapes of the coast and the interior of our town, without forgetting the night routes that have generated so much expectation in recent summers.
To this offer will be added the evening entertainment in walks, movies, concerts by the sea or beaches with children's and sports activities.

But in addition to projecting the characteristic offer that defines it and that the tourist demands in the last years, Mazarrón will also be present in Fitur for its inclusion in the European itinerary of the Phoenician Route, on Wednesday 23 and Friday 25 of January in two presentations at the Tourism Pavilion of Galicia and the pavilion of the Provincial Tourist Board of Granada.
The municipality will also continue with its contacts to define its participation in the European project 'Tuna Route' together with the Diputación de Cádiz, the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca, the municipality of Carloforte, the protected marine area of ​​the Egadi Islands, the University of Algarve , the government of Sicily and several private companies that have among their objectives to create a thematic and international route on bluefin tuna.
Also, the municipality will participate on Friday, January 25 at 12:45 in the Greenways Heritage day 'Greenways and Unesco Heritage uniting destinations' to be held at the IFEMA North Convention Center, 1st floor with the presentation' Innovation, virtual and augmented reality for the promotion of the Vía Verde de Mazarrón.
This presentation will show the experience about how to offer a resource through new technologies with the Mazarrón Trekker project and how this experience can be transferred to other destinations.
