The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, has checked the status of the street Villarico de los Alumbres and surrounding areas after the completion of the renovation works of the drinking water network that will alleviate the continuous breakdowns that registered this point of the urban core of Mazarrón .
At the request of the City Council, the General Directorate of Water of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia has invested 45,000 euros in the installation of about 160 meters of ductile cast iron pipe replacing the previous pipes of fiber cement and polyethylene that, according to the technicians, generated continuous damage and consequently successive repairs of the road
With the paving has completed an action that has consisted in addition to the connection of the renewed pipeline with the existing conduits in the streets Mirlo, Gorriones and Golondrinas.
Likewise, four isolation valves have been installed, nine connections have been renewed and three manholes have been executed.
Alicia Jiménez stressed that this work "responds to one of the priorities of the current government team that adds the investment of 1 million 300 thousand euros that will be invested in the municipal sanitation network as a result of the conditions of the contract with the company service concessionaire ".
Improvement of the supply in Cañada de Gallego y Pastrana
The Mayor also highlighted another of the actions taken to solve the problems of shortages that occurred at specific times of the year in Cañada de Gallego and Pastrana.
This solution comes hand in hand, as the mayor has said, of the installation of a remote control system and the improvement of the deposit of the mining preserve.
