The installation of a remote control system and the improvement of the deposit of the mining preserve will tackle the problems of specific shortages that were caused in the districts of Cañada de Gallego and Pastrana in times of limited supply, mainly due to drought.
The entrance and exit facilities have been modified, collecting the flow and deposit level data, leading to remote control for filling it.
Likewise, some 60 meters of the exit line have been renewed, which has allowed the elimination of a high point that conditioned the response of the tank to a void.
The action has been executed and financed by the Water General Directorate and has involved an investment of 47,000 euros.
For the mayor, Alicia Jiménez, "this is a necessary action that was transmitted to the Autonomous Community with the aim of guaranteeing a supply that minimizes the number of incidents."
