From February 18 to March 1, the Department of Culture of the City of Mazarrón and the Popular University organized the XVII 'Carlantum' Conference that delve into different aspects of the history, tradition and customs of Mazarrón.
The conference cycle will be opened on Monday by Daniel Moreno with the presentation 'Fishing activity in Mazarrón: from tradition to innovation'.
On Wednesday, February 20, Miguel Morales will talk about 'The mining trains of Mazarrón: the line from Morata to Parazuelos'.
On Friday, February 22, Benito González will offer the conference 'The defense of the coastal strip of Lorca and Mazarrón between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries'.
On Monday, February 25, Rogelio Morales will investigate the traditions with his speech entitled 'Farmers, shepherds and other trades of the field'.
Wednesday 27 February will be the turn for José Aragón with 'Mazarrón y Guadalentín, problematic and solution'.
Finally, on Friday, March 1, the XIII Acts of Carlantun will be presented with Ramón Martínez, José Clemente and José García.
