The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation to clarify an alleged crime of robbery with force in a house in Mazarrón, which has culminated in the arrest of the complainant as alleged perpetrator of crime of crime simulation, after finding that It was a false report.
The proceedings began at the end of last January, when a neighbor of Mazarron reported having suffered a robbery with force in his home in the town.
In the complaint, she reported that someone had entered the property, taking advantage of the fact that she and her partner were sleeping, to take away several appliances, such as a television and a computer, and a large amount of cash.
After having knowledge of the commission of the supposed criminal act, the Benemérita initiated the corresponding investigation with the purpose of verifying the theft and clarifying it with the identification of its authors.
Faced with the seriousness of the events reported, civil guards specialized in the Judicial Police carried out an exhaustive technical inspection of the eye in the house subject to theft, which allowed them to consider the possibility of the existence of a crime simulation.
In addition, during the inspection, the agents found that there were contradictions between what the complainant said and the steps taken by the Benemérita, which served to verify that the complaint allegedly was false.
Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained, the Civil Guard has arrested the whistleblower in her home as the alleged perpetrator of a crime simulation crime.
The Spanish detainee, 64 years old and neighbor of Mazarrón, and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Totana (Murcia).
The Civil Guard informs citizens of the criminal responsibility involved in reporting criminal acts that have never been committed, as well as the harm caused by the deportation of police officers to investigate false crimes that, in addition, usually generate great social alarm among the population, mainly when robberies are reported with violence.
The Criminal Code, in its article 457, establishes that, before any judicial or administrative officer who has the duty to investigate, pretend to be responsible or victim of a violation or denounce a non-existent, provoking procedural actions, will be punished with a fine six to twelve months.
