Pilar Lardín Verdú will receive the 'Mujer Mazarron 2019' Award.
This appointment was announced this Friday in the Hall of Plenary Town Hall by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, in the presence of representatives of the Department of Social Policy and various associations of the municipality.
The award ceremony of this institutional recognition will take place at the Cultural Center next Friday, March 8.
Pilar Lardín Verdú will receive this recognition for her work as a woman entrepreneur, entrepreneur and for contributing to the labor integration of people with intellectual disabilities.
The mayor, Alicia Jiménez, has read the career of a woman who has defined as "generous, tenacious, professional, creative, committed to society and ahead of its time."
Owner of a beauty salon, Pilar Lardín Verdún, in its staff, for fifteen years to three people with reduced intellectual capacity, with whom he performs a work of integration into society through the learning of a trade and coexistence with the rest of the compañeras with a training program.
She is a Mazarron businesswoman who received for several years the collaboration of the Federation of Organizations in Favor of People with Intellectual Disability and Cerebral Palsy (FEAPS), through the signing of an agreement with CEAOM, the association for the integration of mentally handicapped people that is dedicated to look for employment with support for people with disabilities in the region of Murcia.
In November 2008 he received the Laurel Award from FEAPS, in recognition of the work done to contribute to the labor integration of people with intellectual disabilities.
Although in the years of crisis the agreements with these associations could not continue, the persistence of this entrepreneur to continue providing integration assistance to young Mazarron made it possible later to sign an agreement with the municipality of Mazarrón, through the Department of Social Policy in 2011.
Later in 2015, the City Council renewed the agreement expanding the collaboration, going from two to three young women who carry out their activity in "Pilar Verdú", forming an exemplary work team and receiving the love of colleagues and customers.
Throughout his life he has collaborated with various associations such as ASPADEM, the Confraternity of La Soledad, La Purísima, garment collection associations and children's utensils, as well as with anyone in need who has required their help.
As a beauty professional, she has always been a pioneer through both personal and team training, bringing many innovations in techniques and products to Mazarrón.
The training has always been his maxim and a few years ago he was able to unfold his activity as a Coach in personal image, giving lectures, classes or particular sessions, having trained in the ECOREM Coaching School and collaborating with the Association of Coaches of the Region of Murcia, association of which he is a founding member.
This award is granted by the Association of Housewives, Users and Consumers AlMazarrón, Red Cross, Association of Merchants of Mazarrón, Organization of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals of the Region of Murcia, Cáritas Puerto de Mazarrón and City of Mazarrón.
International Women's Day Programming
The delivery of the Women's Mazarronera Award "will be the most outstanding institutional act of a complete agenda of events that has been detailed by the Councilor for Social Policy, Laura Ortiz.
On Monday, March 4, at 5:00 pm in the Hall of the Mazarrón Senior Citizen Day Center will take place the talk entitled "The role of women today" by the CAVI de Mazarrón professionals .
On Thursday, March 7 will be held the II Theater Cycle 'Women' by the Theater Club and Performing Arts Group of 4th ESO of the IES Domingo Valdivieso and the Theater Group 'La Marabunta' of the IES Antonio Hellín.
It will be at the Cultural Center from 7:00 p.m.
On Friday, March 8, at 9:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center, the Woman of Mazarrón Prize will be presented to Pilar Lardín Verdú.
That day there will also be shows of activities and work done by the IES of the municipality.
Finally, on Sunday, March 10, a hiking route will be organized by the Amigos de la Naturaleza Hiking Club of Mazarrón.
The meeting point will be the CEIP La Cañadica starting at 9:30 am.
Also, the Department of Social Policy recalls that from January to March are conducted in the educational centers of the municipality Sensitization Days against Gender Violence led by the psychologist of the CAVI, Rosa Jorquera.
