The regional president of the PP confirms to Alicia Jiménez like candidate to the mayoralty of Mazarrón "to continue constructing the municipality that the neighbors need"
The president of the Popular Party of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, stressed that with the opening of eight new hotels in the region this year, 1,000 hotel beds will be created, "which shows the attractiveness of the Region for national and foreign investors ".
"Tourism is one of the economic drivers that drives us, provides employment opportunities and is a source of prosperity, it is one of the pillars on which the regional economy is sustained and that is why we will continue working to continue increasing our tourist offer in the future, "stressed the regional president of training.
López Miras has put in value that "we have achieved an important attraction of investments that in the last two years has meant the opening and reopening of 12 hotel establishments with almost 2,000 places and the arrival of international brands such as Sheraton, Hilton or Roc".
Something that has been achieved, according to the president, "thanks to the investment of entrepreneurs who promote projects and, like the Popular Party, believe in the Region of Murcia."
In the course of his speech, Lopez Miras has advanced that "this year we will exceed six million tourists thanks to the new International Airport of the Region of Murcia that makes the region more attractive for those who visit us."
Aspects that, together with the increase in tourist activity in the low season, the opening of new tourist establishments and the seasonally-adjusted offer, "have made us 67 consecutive months creating jobs associated with the tourism sector in the Region".
During the act of presenting Alicia Jiménez as a candidate for mayor of Mazarrón, López Miras recalled that the municipality, in addition to a new hotel, will have a bus connection with the International Airport of the Region of Murcia from the summer.
This new line "will be adapted to the schedules of the flights of the new season and to the needs of the passengers, because we think of the people: in those who visit us and in those who reside here", he emphasized.
"All this reflects that the Popular Party has given and will continue to respond to the demands of the tourism sector, which must continue to evolve and improve quality standards, because tourism will mark the future of the region in the coming decades," he added.

Regarding the mayoral candidate of Mazarrón, López Miras has indicated that "she is the ideal person to continue making the municipality a regional reference in tourism and employment, as she has shown during her term as mayor since 2015."
In this regard, he stressed that "Alicia Jiménez has returned Mazarrón to stability and economic growth, so I encourage her to continue working to offer alternatives and possibilities to improve the municipality."
