The Cultural Center of Mazarrón has hosted on Tuesday a technical conference dedicated to the control of pests in agriculture.
Organized by the Cajamar group, with the collaboration of the City Council, it has responded to a demand from farmers in the area with the aim of addressing the problems generated by pests in crops, especially the 'absolute tuta'.
The day was attended by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the chief of business of Cajamar, Fernando Morales.
The mayor thanked the fact that Mazarrón has taken a day that provides solutions to the farmers of Mazarrón.
The speakers have tackled action strategies that serve as an alternative to the use of chemical products.
These strategies are focused, as technician Mónica González has indicated, in biological control, sexual fusion or the use of natural enemies.
