Pupils of sixth grade of Primary and third of Secondary of the municipality will have the opportunity, from next year, to develop a didactic unit dedicated to Surfing.
The project started Bahia Surf Sports School and has the collaboration of the Department of Education and Sports.
The initiative, a pioneer in Spain, was presented by José María Cascales, president of Bahía Surf, together with the Councilor for Sports, Patricio Sánchez and the president of the Spanish Surf Federation, Carlos Jorge García.
The unit will have a theoretical part and a practical part.
In each of them students will be made aware of the benefits of surfing, as well as knowledge of marine currents and other technical aspects related to the practice of this sport.
Knowledge and respect for the aquatic environment are essential in a unit that will first take the practical part to the classrooms and later to the sea in order to familiarize the students.
