What began as an entertainment for the public that attended the classic watercraft races has become, in a few years, an essential specialty in the nautical motor competition.
The Flyski constantly grows and attracts a large audience amazed by the spectacularity of the risky stunts.
Next weekend, the Spanish Flyski Championship, which has doubled the number of participants compared to the championship of the previous year, will feature the best raiders in the country, among which are Alberto Laceta, runner-up of Spain and eighth ranked in the world ranking;
David Pereira, champion of Spain and fourteenth in the world ranking;
and Enrique Soriano, runner-up in the Copa del Rey and third in the last championship in Spain.
The schedule of the competition, which will take place at the Puerto Deportivo de Mazarrón, will be distributed between the full day of Saturday, March 30, starting at 10:00 am and ending well into the afternoon.
The twenty-five registered will perform the tests corresponding to the classification for the semifinals and the so-called "battles".
The jury, made up of judges from the Federation, will decide which will be the finalists who will participate in the final day of Sunday 31. Points such as skill, difficulty or accuracy are scored.
During the presentation last Tuesday, March 26, which took place in the Port of Mazarrón, organizers and collaborators were enthusiastic about the celebration of the event, assuring that Mazarrón has become one of the main venues of this sport specialty, that the collaboration between the Federation and the City Council is fluid and fruitful, without forgetting the facilities offered by the Directorate of the Marina and the help of sponsors such as Shiro.
