On Tuesday, the bus service of the Región de Murcia International Airport was officially presented.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, has attended an informative event held by the Regional Ministry of Public Works in order to publicize the different bus lines that connect different points of the region with the airport.
One of those lines will be that of Mazarrón-Águilas with stops in Puerto de Mazarrón (Avenida Doctor Meca next to Mercadona), Mazarrón (Avenida de la Constitución) and Camposol.
Patricio Valverde informed that the commercialization of the bus tickets will be made prior contracting through the sale through Internet, through the Interbús website which is the company that carries out this transport service with the airport.

The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, accompanied by a representation of businessmen of the municipality has highlighted the impulse that this connection service of Mazarrón represents with the airport and has announced the call, in coming weeks, for an informative meeting with the hospitality sector of the municipality that will serve to collect needs and improvement approaches.
According to the Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Patricio Valverde, the programming has been designed after the experience acquired during the first months of operation of the Airport.
This transport service will cover 81 percent of the 60,000 regional hotel beds (hotels and tourist accommodation), and will serve all of the 274 kilometers of coastline in the Region of Murcia.
Fomento has also reported the prices of bus tickets, which have been reduced, in order to make travel more attractive through this medium and increase the occupancy of vehicles.
In addition, sustainable transport is encouraged and traffic congestion in tourist areas is avoided in the summer months.
Thus, a single fare has been introduced for journeys to Murcia and Cartagena, with a price of 5 euros, as well as for the golf courses of La Torre, Terrazas, Mar Menor and Serena. The bus ticket to Cabo de Palos, La Manga, La Manga Club, Roda Golf, Condado de Alhama, Hacienda del Álamo, Camposol urbanization, San Pedro, Lo Pagan, San Javier, Los Narejos and Los Alcázares imports 10 euros, reaches 12 on the way to Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón, and 15 the trip to Águilas.
