The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the Councilor for Sports of the City of Mazarrón, Patricio Sánchez, visited this Wednesday the facilities of the School of Nautical Activities Grímpola to check the progress of the training days that belong to the Program Driza Todos a la Sea that meets its third edition.
For this school year 2018/2019 there are 682 students who will participate in a didactic unit promoted by the City Council with the aim of introducing the knowledge and practice of nautical activities among the students of the municipality.
In addition, in this pioneering initiative in the Region of Murcia, 30 teachers from the different educational centers of the municipality are also trained, according to Cristóbal García, member of the Grímpola organization team.
The School of Nautical Activities Grímpola in coordination with the educational community of Mazarrón develops a project that has become a didactic unit more within the subject of Physical Education.
The students receive first a theoretical training in the classrooms and then a practical training at sea.
Students receive knowledge related to sailing, kayaking and paddle surfing.
In addition to becoming familiar with these activities, they obtain environmental training.
