The Municipal Government Board today approved a new agreement with the Red Cross for the fulfillment of its work of social, health and life support in the municipality.
Then it has proceeded to the signing of this agreement that represents an increase of 20,000 euros in relation to the previous.
In total the City will subsidize 152,000 euros to the NGO.
The new agreement includes 200 hours to cover preventive trips in which ambulance with advanced life support is required.
The agreement was signed by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, the municipal manager of Emergency Services, Pedro Hernández, the president of the Red Cross in Mazarrón, Carmen Navarro and the vice president, Pedro Vivancos.
The clauses of the agreement include relief actions, emergencies and urgent health transport, mobilization of socio-health and psychosocial resources in case of activation of the Municipal Emergency Plan, driving and handling of vehicles and vessels assigned to Civil Protection, relief and attention activities of emergencies in public and sports events, communication with the CECOPAL, promotion of youth activities with volunteering and collaboration in campaigns of prevention and health promotion, among others.
