Last Saturday night was held on the Paseo de La Sal in Puerto de Mazarrón, the awards ceremony of the underwater photography contest 'Fotosub 2019' organized by the Federation of Underwater Activities of the Region of Murcia (FASRM) and has the collaboration of the Municipality of Mazarrón.
The Councilor for Culture, Ginés Campillo, the Councilor for Tourism and Services of the Coast, Raquel Raja, the Councilor for Sports, Francisco José García, and the president of the FASRM, Jesús Cano, were in charge of delivering these awards.
In the general classification of the event, the winners were the couple formed by Javier Ferrer and Ricardo Morer with 131 points, followed by José Antonio Oliver and Marta Quesada who finished second with 108 points.
The pair formed by Miguel Ángel García and Samuel Tébar who were third with 86 points.
In total, 8 couples participated who made their photographs in the Arco and Tajo Colorao, reserve area of ​​"Cala Cortina".
By categories, Javier Ferrer and Ricardo Morer prevailed in 3 of them: 'closeup' photography, fish photography in the foreground and angular photography without a diver.
Antonio Oliver and Marta Quesada prevailed in thematic photography and photography of whole fish, while the couple formed by José Luís Alcaide and Félix Araez took gold in the category of angular photography with a diver.
The councilman of Culture, Ginés Campillo, thanked "the work of participants, agencies and companies to raise awareness of the seabed of the Region of Murcia and especially those of the Bay of Mazarrón" announcing that "we will support this type of activities that value our funds with more initiatives ", giving special thanks to the FASRM, Scuba diving Center of the Southeast Bachisub and the Puerto de Mazarrón Marina.
