The Alzheimer's Unit of Mazarrón celebrated last Friday the end of the course of the workshops and activities that have been carried out throughout the year with the delivery of borders to its members.
This delivery was made by the Councilor for Social Services, Miguel Ángel Peña, and the director of the Mazarrón Day Center, Bartolomé Madrid, who were accompanied by the councilors of the government team Raquel Raja, José María Moreno and Conchi Aparicio;
as well as the coordinator of the said unit, José María Costa.
During the day of the celebration that took place at the Day Center, several activities were carried out such as a karaoke contest, in which the members of the Alzheimer's Unit were able to sing various Spanish songs by various artists;
A special bingo was held with various gifts and they also shared a great lunch.
The Alzheimer's Unit of the Mazarrón Day Center is working on the prevention of the disease, as well as on the reduction of the associated deterioration.
To achieve this goal, users conduct cognitive stimulation workshops throughout the year that promote memory preservation, as well as improving attention and concentration.
