Nearly fifty young people belonging to the Red Cross Youth have visited today the offices of the City Hall and the Town Hall building where they have learned various aspects related to its operation, as well as the history of the emblematic property.
They have also been able to approach local politics in a fun way by recreating the realization of a plenary session where several proposals have been discussed.
The participants have been received at the City Council by the councilors of the government team Francisco José García and Silvia García, who have helped them choose by vote the mayor, opposition spokesman and councilors of the municipal corporation.
Once elected, the young people have headed to the Town Hall building to visit the plenary hall and emulate the municipal representatives becoming politicians for a day.
But before, they have been able to know first-hand the history of the aforementioned hall and the building that houses it thanks to the interesting talk offered by one of those responsible for Culture who, in addition, has invited them to attend the different exhibitions that the property hosts throughout the year.
Young people have shown great interest during the exhibition, even asking some right questions.
During the simulation of the plenary session, participants discussed various issues and current problems such as racism and xenophobia, gender violence, school bullying, homophobia and the LGTBI collective, among others.
From different points of view, they have addressed how to solve the difficulties that these issues present as well as the role of parents, children and society in general in these areas.
