Last Saturday, the Paseo de La Sal in Puerto de Mazarrón hosted the III edition of 'The Bay of Books' which was attended by hundreds of people among tourists, neighbors and participants.
Among the attendees were the first deputy mayor and Councilor for Culture, Ginés Campillo, the Councilor for Education, Conchi Aparicio, and the Councilor for Services, Tomás Ureña.
The president of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, Alberto Castillo, also attended the meeting.
Ginés Campillo explained that "the day is being very good as far as the public is concerned for all the activities scheduled within this event and we are satisfied because we think it is a very good idea to bring culture and literature to citizens for free "and said that" the appointment will continue to be held because we do not remove the activities that work, but we strengthen it. I think that is what the one who assumes a government responsibility has to do. "
Storytelling, a comic book workshop, signatures with the authors present, live music by 'Amarela', live poetry and even an open microphone for anyone who wanted to recite their poems, were the activities with which attendees could delight .
This year the libraries of Puerto de Mazarrón Carlin and Calle Mayor participated;
and next to them, Find Me from Murcia, specialized in children's books, and the literary agency Letragency.
Citizens who approached the promenade of Puerto de Mazarrón were also able to enjoy a new edition of the Artisan Market and another appointment with 'La Salsa Street' which, on this occasion, developed its activity for the benefit of APROAMA (Association of Mazarrón Animal Protection) whose components were visited by the Councilor for Animal Welfare, Silvia García, and the Councilor for Festejos, Miguel Ángel Peña.
