The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in the framework of the 'Plan against theft in homes', has arrested the alleged perpetrator of a robbery in a building in Puerto de Mazarrón-Mazarrón.

The proceedings began when, thanks to citizen collaboration, the Civil Guard was alerted to the imminent commission of a robbery in a house located in the Puerto de Mazarrón-Mazarrón Bay Ordination

One of the patrols of Prevention of Citizen Security, established in the municipality of Mazarrón to prevent the theft of housing, moved to the place indicated by the neighbors and surprised an individual inside the courtyard of one of the houses with a object in his possession.

Despite the attempted escape of the suspect, the officers managed to arrest him as the alleged perpetrator of theft with force by means of stopover.

In that act a basketball basket was recovered.

This is a male, of Spanish nationality, 32 years old and a neighbor of Puerto de Mazarrón-Mazarrón with a bulky criminal record for crimes of the same nature.

Citizen collaboration

The Civil Guard has had citizen collaboration, which has prevented the theft from being consummated, as well as that the agents have located and detained the suspect in fraganti.

This is the second case, so far this month, of people arrested by the Benemérita for the alleged authorship of robberies in homes in the town of Puerto de Mazarrón.

Thus, and as a result of the services established by the Civil Guard for the prevention of robberies in homes that, recently, had generated some social alarm in the area, in the middle of the month, the Civil Guard arrested an experienced male criminal, 51 years old , Spanish nationality and neighbor of Puerto de Mazarrón as alleged perpetrator of crimes against patrimony for theft with force in four homes of Puerto de Mazarrón-Mazarrón.

The now detained, the recovered effects and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Totana (Murcia).
