This weekend the waters of the Bay of Mazarrón will host the Copa del Rey of Jet Ski and FlySki in an appointment in which there are already confirmed more than 80 participants.

The appointment has been presented by the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, the president of the Royal Spanish Motor Federation, José Miguel Martínez, and the president of the Motonautical Federation of the Region of Murcia, Dionisio Baño.

Accompanying them were the manager of the Marina, Juan Marín, and the Councilors for Sports and Tourism, Francisco José García and Raquel Raja.

In the test, which is the last appointment of the national championship and will take place both on Saturday and Sunday, “the pilots play the top positions and also, being a unique test, makes us have the largest number of participantsâ€� explained Dionisio Baño, who revealed that "there will even be Portuguese pilots and some French who may participate but, logically, they will not be eligible for the title."

During the day on Saturday "the circuit test will be carried out and on Sunday it will be the endurance test with long distance races and finally the offshore test in the area of ​​the Rihuete beach," said Baños, who added that "also during Saturday and on Sunday morning, those who come here can also enjoy the spectacular FlySki with the celebration of the Copa del Rey in which there will be 18 participants. â€�

José Miguel Martínez thanked “the support always shown by the City Council of Mazarrón and for this reason we have already celebrated this test here for the fourth year and for the second time that of Flyski, as it is the ideal place to develop these appointments since we also have the support of Leisure port, sports port".

His manager, Juan Marín, recalled that "we are always with maximum interest putting our facilities so that everyone can do some important sports tests."

The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, explained that “the City Council of Mazarrón wants to thank the work and interest of both federations for choosing Mazarrón for such important tests as these and the Marina for its availabilityâ€� since “it is an appointment to national level and many people from outside come who can meet us more and more and support in that tourist diffusion of the Bay of Mazarrón that we must promote â€�.

The first mayor reiterated that “Mazarrón is open to this type of events that help to make Mazarrón known and also extend the tourist seasonality a bit, especially if we are enjoying an enviable weather that we hope will accompany us throughout October and lengthen until November".

For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Francisco José García, said in this regard "that during the weekend there will be children's activities, zumba, a marine market and a concentration of classic vehicles."
