The Bay of Mazarrón is preparing to host a new appointment for cleaning its seabed that already reaches its XXV edition and also involves the V cleaning at international level.
This was announced by the first deputy mayor of the City Council of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the president of the Federation of Underwater Activities of the Region of Murcia, Jesús Cano, and the director of the Southeast Diving Center 'Bachisub', Alfonso G. Bachelor, who organize the initiative together with the Network of Marine Guards, the Puerto Deportivo de Mazarrón and the European Environment Association ".
Ginés Campillo explained that "the conference will be held this October 12 and not only under water, because, as usual, there will also be a cleaning in beach areas by various associations that collaborate in this event."
The first deputy mayor thanked "the Federation of Underwater Activities of the Region of Murcia and the Diving Center for their involvement and coordination with the sponsors and collaborating entities to make these days a reality for the twenty-fifth time in Mazarrón."
For his part, Alfonso G. Bachiller, explained that "this year there is a participation of between 125 and 130 divers and 130 and 140 volunteers who are going to be on the beaches" for what "is going to put a minibus that transfers the volunteers because we are going to clean beaches for the first time in districts such as Covaticas in Cañada de Gallego or Rincón de Bolnuevo, where the tourist train will transfer both volunteers and all those participants who want to join the activity to from 08:30 in the marina ".
With regard to the seabed "7 cleaning points are going to be made, including the fishing port with the collaboration of the Fishermen's Association of Puerto de Mazarrón for the first time, and 5 boats will be available for divers."
Everyone can "enjoy a great giant paella and later party that will be celebrated as a great coexistence since not only do divers come from Murcia but they come from all over Spain and also from outside it.
Jesús Cano, president of the Federation of Underwater Activities of the Region of Murcia that joins the project 'Solidarity Bubbles', has greatly appreciated "the predisposition of the City Council, as well as the large number of taxpayers such as the Marina, Fishermen's Association, Club de Reggatas de Mazarrón or the Reina Sofía Foundation, which joins the initiative for the first time. "
Cano stressed that "these cleanings are noticed, fortunately, the Port of Mazarrón is much cleaner than other places in Spain" but, even so, "we must all be aware that a few have to clean for so many, but that so many do not pour garbage. "
