The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, and the delegate of the Government of Spain in Murcia, Francisco Jiménez, have chaired this morning the Local Security Board of the City Council of Mazarrón in which the first deputy mayor and city councilor were also present and Infrastructures, Ginés Campillo, and representatives of the Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection, Fire Extinction Consortium and general direction of Citizen Security and Emergencies of the CARM.

As indicated by Francisco Jiménez, who has highlighted the good harmony between both administrations, "we have met to coordinate our security forces during the celebration of the miracle parties that will take place between November 10 and 17", specifically "there will be a special reinforcement with 100 agents that will be inside an important device aimed at maintaining security, preventing theft and serving people so that they can have fun with complete peace of mind."
Along these lines, the government delegate has clarified that the agents will not only be present in the areas of greatest influx of people but also "patrol the areas where there are homes that are or remain vacated by parties to prevent theft" and also "there will be identity checks and road safety to prevent people who carry weapons in their vehicles with a special device to maintain security at parties."
Francisco Jiménez has also shown the willingness of the Government delegation to resume the project to improve the Civil Guard barracks in Puerto de Mazarrón, which began in the 2011-2015 legislature and had been abandoned by the previous corporation, in the that the City Council participated and in return received the facilities of the barracks of the Civil Guard of Mazarrón.
"We will do everything we can to the best of our ability to promote this project that was parked," said the delegate.
In this regard, the Councilor for Urban Planning and Infrastructure, Ginés Campillo, who has thanked this second visit of the delegate in just a few weeks, has been very satisfied with the commitment to resume this project.
Campillo recalled that "this initiative was allowed to die in the last legislature and it is of great importance that it be resumed, as it is much better, more practical and a need for the Civil Guard to have a barracks in conditions because it would be favored that there be effective here the year living, settling in Mazarrón and covering the municipality better ".
All this with the counterpart that "we can opt for a property of the Ministry of Interior, such as the headquarters of the Civil Guard of Mazarrón, to allocate it to municipal agencies," recalled Campillo, who has remarked that "in this sense we won all, being an advantageous agreement for both parties and in which the help of the Government delegation will be fundamental ".
