It is a project co-financed by Galpemur and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund with the aim of diversifying fishing activity, in addition to increasing the tourist offer in the area.
It is set as a tribute to the Mediterranean and marine culture of the area, dressed in analogue photography by the Murcian artist Gloria Jiménez, which show a particular vision of the landscape and the life forms of the environment.
On both sides of the building you can see two giant murals made by the Alhamanian artist Murfy, composed of a fish that rises to the sky, as a tribute to life and the Mediterranean essence.
It is a place designed for visitors to enjoy their stay as if they were at home.
It has only 8 rooms, six doubles and two singles.
It is a hostel with the comforts of a hotel, which also offers free breakfast every morning.
Among its facilities it has a social lounge and a common kitchen, as well as a terrace overlooking the sea.
It also has ample space in the basement where guests can store their sports equipment.
In Sosiego they have opted for the latest technologies for hotels with a modern automatic check-in system that allows people to receive 24 hours, in addition to a pin code opening system to freely enter and exit without having to use keys or cards.
They also use presence switches for air conditioning and aerothermal system for domestic hot water in order to increase the sustainability and energy efficiency of the accommodation.
Sosiego intends to consolidate itself as a reference for lovers of the sea and Mediterranean culture, hosting all kinds of events and related activities such as workshops, courses, talks, etc.
This project joins the efforts to diversify the regional economy, promoting local and fishing heritage, promoting marine tourism in the Region of Murcia.
