Mazarrón has closed this morning the events scheduled for the International Day Against Gender Violence that is celebrated this Monday, November 25 worldwide.
And he has done so with an act held in the Town Hall square where the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, has read a manifesto before the attendees among whom were the Councilor for Social Policy and Equality, Miguel Ángel Peña, and other members of The municipal corporation.
Next, the IES 'Antonio Hellín' schoolchildren have read the manifesto prepared by the Student Federation of the Region of Murcia and performed several songs related to gender violence.
He has also participated, for the first time, the Elderly Day Center and Alzheimer's Unit and other dementias with a poetry by Ana Aznar, the first female radio host in Mazarrón.

A talk was also made by the CAVI of Mazarrón on the issue of Gender Violence in today's society with the students of Basic FP.
On Friday afternoon it was the turn of IES Domingo Valdivieso who performed the play 'From the beyond' performed by the ESO Performing Arts and Dance group of 4 ° and theater group of the aforementioned institute.
The evening was completed with a classical guitar concert offered by the artist Armando Borrero organized by the Department of Social Policy and Equality with the CAVI of Mazarrón.
The program closes this afternoon at the Mazarrón Day Center where a round table will be held entitled 'No more violence, multidisciplinary intervention' that will be moderated by the psychologist and head of the CAVI, Rosa Jorquera, and will have the intervention of experts in the field as well as representatives of the Civil Guard, Local Police and the Department of Social Policy among which will be the mayor responsible for the area, Miguel Ángel Peña.
