The Plenary Session of the City Council of Mazarrón, thanks to the votes of PSOE and UIDM, yesterday approved an extraordinary credit modification of the treasury pool worth 3,910,071.74 euros that will be used for the implementation of various projects in Mazarrón, Puerto and Pedanías "that are enjoyed by all the mazarroneros, and also by tourists, with the aim of putting Mazarrón in the place it deserves, becoming a municipality of the 21st century", as stated by the Councilor for Finance, Ginés Campillo, who detailed the projects and amounts allocated to each of them:

The implementation and drafting of these projects that focus on the recovery of Historical Heritage and infrastructure improvement, "a milestone in Mazarrón to wash the face once and for all of the municipality" as Ginés Campillo pointed out, they are the first phase of the plan drawn up by the Government Team, and presented to the opposition in a show of transparency and commitment to joint work, "to start with the shock plan that turns Mazarrón into a modern municipality of which we feel proud, "said the head of the Treasury.
The Plenary also unanimously approved of all political groups a modification of the municipal traffic ordinance to adapt it to the new Road Safety Law.

The point was approved with the votes in favor of PSOE, UIDM and VOX.
The Local Development Agency was also dissolved to thin the administration, gain agility and save administrative procedures and money without ceasing to fulfill its functions since the official of the same will continue to perform the same tasks within the Department of Employment, Training and Local Development.
The point passed unanimously.
In the section on motions, urgently a motion was presented by the Socialist Municipal Group and the Independent Union Municipal Group to show support for the award of the 'José Lostau 2019 award to the University Spirit and Human Values', distinction called by the social council of the University of Murcia, to the mazarronero Salvador Zamora Navarro.
A proposal that was approved unanimously by all parties.
The Plenary also approved the proposal of the Popular Municipal Group who presented a motion in defense of women on the occasion of the International Day of Gender Violence that was voted in favor by almost the entire corporation, with the exception of the VOX group.
Precisely, this party urgently presented another motion, also on the occasion of the celebration of that day that, although it went ahead for reading in the session, was not finally approved by having only the vote in favor of the VOX councilor in the plenary .
