This morning the March for the International Day of Disability was held in Mazarrón, which, due to the heavy rains of last week, had to be postponed until today.
Dozens of young people from different schools in the municipality have accompanied the users of the Day Center for People with Disabilities that organizes the activity.
Before starting the march, the municipal tent of the Town Hall Square has welcomed the reading of a manifesto by several users of the aforementioned center that has been closely followed by those present, among which was the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras , the Councilor for Social Policy, Miguel Ángel Peña, and several councilors of the government team who have joined this celebration.
Several schoolchildren from the 'Siglo XXI' school have also participated in a special way, who have joined the reading of the manifesto with their own words addressed to people suffering from a disability.
The young people have made a march of 800 meters through the center of Mazarrón that has concluded with a lunch and a party in the municipal tent.
