The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, said today as "priority for this term" the splitting of the RM-332 road, which links Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón.

"A very relevant infrastructure for the Region of Murcia, for which we have already begun the search for financing through the public-private formula," said the Minister of Presidency and Finance, Javier Celdrán, at the end of the meeting held by the chief of the regional Executive with the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras.

The counselor also explained that the Community is also waiting for the Government of Spain to create the National Office for Project Evaluation, under the Ministry of Finance, which will have to authorize the regional government to tender the works of construction of this unfolding.

This road currently supports an average traffic intensity of 15,000 vehicles per day.

During their meeting, the mayor of Mazarrón and López Miras also addressed issues such as the improvement of educational infrastructure in the municipality, as well as the situation of the Phoenician Ship.

In this regard, Celdrán explained that "the regional government has already contacted the central government to create a group of experts from the Autonomous Community and Ministry to develop a comprehensive plan for the extraction, treatment and enhancement of this Phoenician Ship , one of the greatest cultural values ​​we have in the Region and that should also be valued as a tourist attraction. "
