During this past Christmas, Mazarrón has once again revealed the belenista tradition that exists in the municipality with the celebration of the V Bethlehem Route in which 8 nativity scenes located in Mazarrón, Puerto and in the Los Algezares Ravine site participated.
The activity had been organized by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Mazarrón.
The participants who were visiting the different belenista exhibitions, were getting stamps in the passports issued for the occasion.
Those who got a minimum of 6 stamps could qualify for a prize consisting of a Naviadad basket and artisan nativity figures.
Elena Lobato, from Puerto de Mazarrón, has been the winner with this award.
The Councilor for Culture, Ginés Campillo, was in charge of delivering the gifts to the lucky one.
The mayor has highlighted the importance of "promoting and keeping alive this tradition because, in addition to assuming one more activity to do with family and friends at Christmas, it is also a sample of our Culture and our identity."
