The athlete of the Taekwondo Mazarrón Club is now preparing for the 'Presidents Cup' and the Swedish Open of the Scandinavian country
The Mazarron athlete Rubén García, belonging to the Taekwondo Mazarrón Club, won this weekend with a silver medal in the -74 kilos category during the Spanish Absolute Championship of this sport held in Torrelavega (Cantabria), represented to the Murcia team.
Despite having competed with a small knee injury, Garcia beat his opponents of Andalusia, Castilla y León and Comunidad Valenciana until he reached the final, where he fell to the representative of Catalonia.
The Mazarron athlete is now preparing for the G2 championship 'Presidents Cup' and G1 Open of Sweden to be held in the Scandinavian country from February 17 to 22.
The Murcia team won two metals in this competition.
The mentioned silver obtained by our athlete and a gold in the -54 kilos category by the pachequero Antonio Albaladejo.
