The farm 'El Collado' located in the hamlet of Cańadas del Romero hosted the celebration of the XXIII Spanish Championship of Partridge with Claim, organized by the Royal Spanish Hunting Federation with the support of the Department of Sports of the City of Mazarrón and the Federation of Hunting of the Region of Murcia.
Antonio Pons, from the Balearic Islands, and his claim 'Cap Blanc' rose as champions of the appointment to achieve 77 points.
The second position went to the Balearic representative Juan Mut and his bird 'Rei', who obtained 70.66 points, and third place corresponded to Jesús Poveda and his partridge male 'Mendo', from the Valencian Community, after scoring 69.9 points.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports Francisco José García, welcomed the participants.
The first mayor encouraged visitors "to discover the corners and benefits of the municipality so that you can move how welcoming we are" and he hoped that "we can see you here again enjoying our land with us".
Among the participants, there was the mazarronero Salvador Sánchez who, before his test, received the support and encouragement of his colleagues from the municipal corporation Francisco José García, Raquel Raja and Carmen García.
Sanchez obtained the sixteenth position of the championship with a score of 30.66 points.
