The City Council of Mazarrón is very aware that 'International Women's Day' is an opportunity to claim equality between women and men and that is why a series of activities have been scheduled through the Department of Equality that continue this month of March.

Thus, on Tuesday 10, a children's storyteller entitled "Counting Stars for Equality" will be held in the library of Puerto de Mazarrón from 5:00 p.m., which will also take place from 6:30 p.m. in the Library from Mazarrón.

Then the library of Mazarrón will also host, starting at 7:30 p.m., the adult storyteller "With the voice of a Woman".

Next Saturday, March 14, an appointment is scheduled in the Assembly Hall of the Cultural Center at 7:00 pm, where the children's theater performance for Equality "The new adventures of the little rat" will be held, by the company 'Seven Comedians 'and with a main objective: to familiarize the little ones with respect for Equality, since the basis of it is education.

Finally, to complete this program, on March 28 the theatrical performance will be held, in charge of the aforementioned company, "We all have the same story."

It will be from 7 pm in the Assembly Hall of the Cultural Center.

The activities on the occasion of the 'Month of Women' began this past Monday, March 2 with the screening of the film, and subsequent talk, "Father there is only one" that was held at the Day Center, as well as a self-esteem workshop organized by the Fibromyalgia Association of Mazarrón (AFIBROMAZ).

On the other hand, last Thursday, March 5, the book "Lucía: la Romi Lorquina" by Luis Caparrós Mirón was presented.

Likewise, on Friday 6, the "Women in history" conference by the journalist María José Cárceles and the inauguration of the "Writers" exhibition of the Regional Archive that arrived thanks to the collaboration of the Department of Archives and libraries and which can be enjoyed until March 18 in the exhibition hall of the "House of Culture".

Also, on Sunday, a walking march was carried out on the Rambla del Cañar on the occasion of 8-M, 'International Women's Day', organized by the 'Friends of Nature' Hiking Club with the support of the City Council of Mazarrón .

And also this Sunday, as the central act of this celebration, the appointment of María Concepción Ruiz Martínez as "Woman Mazarronera 2020" was celebrated yesterday afternoon.
