Make it known:
That given the health situation derived from the evolution of COVID-19 throughout Spain and the Region of Murcia, the Mazarrón City Council assumes the recommendations of the health authorities and will carry out information, cleaning and hygiene measures with the in order to contribute to the success of the current phase of Active Containment.
Although the municipality of Mazarrón is not considered a risk zone, the preventive measures adopted have the objective of avoiding the possible spread of infections.
That these provisions will be applied temporarily until March 31, although they are subject to the evolution of the situation by the health authorities.
1) The following municipal facilities are temporarily closed:
a) Senior Centers
b) Museums
c) Exhibition rooms
d) Sports facilities
e) Childcare Centers of the Municipal Term
2) All planned activities are postponed until March 31:
a) Municipal Library Network
b) Cultural centers and museums
c) Exhibition Hall of Town Hall
3) Sports activities.
Following the instructions of the General Directorate of Sports of the CARM, all sports competitions in professional and non-professional categories are postponed until March 31 or until a new date.
4) Weekly markets.
Weekly markets are canceled throughout the municipality of Mazarrón.
5) Feasts of San José.
All the activities programmed by the City Council on the occasion of the San José festivity in Puerto de Mazarrón are postponed, as well as the Ruta de la Tapa, for a new date that will be reported later.
That as the health authorities indicate, it is very important not to go unnecessarily to hospitals and health centers, and to follow the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health on time regarding prevention and hygiene measures, such as frequent hand washing or coughing and sneeze into the inside of the elbow.

That these measures are adopted in order to avoid possible contagions, and in any case we call for calm, from prevention and prudence, but with the confidence and security that with the implementation of these measures and the collaboration of the citizens of Mazarrón can reduce the risks for the entire population and overcome this situation in the shortest possible time.
