The Department of Social Policy of the City of Mazarrón, Local Police, Civil Protection and Municipal Emergency Service (SEM), the Red Cross and some associations of the municipality have coordinated a device to serve the elderly or people with reduced mobility, as well as citizens in General, who need help to make their purchases or are in a situation of need, as announced by the Mayor of Mazarrón and the First Deputy Mayor, Gaspar Miras and Ginés Campillo.
For this, the telephone number 968 59 11 15 has been set up, which will be operational 24 hours a day and staffed by Mazarrón Emergency Services personnel, who will refer the call to Social Services in the case of a social matter or that may be served from this area of ​​the town hall.
They have also announced that food stalls will be enabled in the weekly markets of the weekend.
Only food stalls will be enabled, as they are basic necessities, and under a new rearrangement with wide separation between the stalls.
Local Police officers will ensure that the rules of the State of Alarm are met and that there are no crowds.
The recommendation of the General Directorate of Health and Addictions of the Autonomous Community of Murcia is followed, which has indicated that the market ban does not apply to food stalls, as long as an adequate distance is kept between stalls to avoid the accumulation of buyers, thus taking pressure off supermarkets and grocery stores and offering the same treatment to those who sell food in weekly markets.
The municipal cemeteries of Mazarrón and Puerto are closed until the end of the State of Alarm and the wake and duels are limited to 15 people.
Only cemeteries can be accessed for burial.
In addition, road cleaning and disinfection work is being intensified and measures by the Local Police will be tightened to comply with restrictions on the opening of establishments that are not of primary necessity that the State of It already alarms the mobility of citizens, so a new call has been made to the obligation to maintain isolation in homes.
Likewise, a new decree has been issued from the Mayor's Office which organizes minimum services with telephone attention in the areas of the Secretariat, Collection, Intervention and Treasury;
Personnel, Citizen Services and Document Registration, Registration and Statistical Services and Social Services and Social Policy.
Mazarrón's social services will attend from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., thus extending their hours to improve service to citizens, and Puerto's from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They are confirmed as essential services of the Mazarrón City Council, which will remain 100% operational, Local Police, 112 Operational Personnel, Civil Protection, Street cleaning and garbage collection services, Parks and gardens service., Municipal services brigade and municipal buildings cleaning service.
Likewise, the face-to-face activity of employees of the Mazarrón City Council who are not assigned to essential services or the provision of minimum services is suspended.
For these purposes, attempts will be made to provide telework formulas in those cases where the tasks to be performed allow it.
The personnel whose functions or tasks cannot be carried out through the telework modality and who are not designated for the provision of minimum services, will remain at home, remaining at the disposal of the Mazarrón City Council and may be required to provide services at any center. work or perform support tasks derived from the emergency situation.
