The director of the center, Bartolomé Madrid, is coordinating this device by making accompaniment and follow-up video calls, thus maintaining continuous contact.
In addition, a number of initiatives are underway to keep them entertained and busy during confinement hours.
For example, geronto-gymnastics videos are being recorded by Rosa Ruz so that they can continue to stay active at home.
They are also conducting raffles via whatshap and composing songs, thanks to the choir teacher, José Ramón Rodríguez;
while the dance teacher, Nuria Pomares, is recording Latin, Sevillian and ballroom dances so that they can continue dancing at home and practicing.
A short video call is also being recorded, by Isabel María Escarabajal, which the elderly will be able to enjoy in the coming days, preparing an embroidery workshop at home by Helena Lardín, and they are sending dozens of messages from all monitors, who are actively participating in the device, to encourage them in the emergency situation that is occurring.
On the other hand, users of the Alzheimer and Other Dementias Unit are being prepared weekly cognitive stimulation activities from different areas (speech therapy, psychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, etc.) that are being carried out in their homes, in addition to maintaining a fluent contact with follow-up calls through phone calls, to also control the status of the users of this unit
