The Mazarrón Local Police have cut several roads due to the rains that have fallen in the municipality during the last hours.
Specifically, the Axial Route of Puerto de Mazarrón has been cut from the Nares beach roundabout to the intersection with Costa Cálida avenue.
The road to Percheles from Cañada de Gallego has also been closed to traffic and, in the Camposol urbanization, it is also expected to close some streets in sectors C and D. For now, the D-4 road that crosses the Rambla de Las Moreras is still open to traffic.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, and the Councilor for Services, Tomás Ureña, are visiting this morning the areas affected by these rains, including the Bahía urbanization in Puerto de Mazarrón where the Via Axial is cut off to traffic as a precaution.
The Councilor for Services, Tomás Ureña, has indicated that "the rains are mainly affecting the floodable areas of the municipality, but not too many problems are occurring since the continuous maintenance work carried out by the City Council is allowing us to have control the situation".
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, added that "we have been visiting the areas that are usually most affected by rainfall and are draining properly and, as is customary, the Local Police is taking the necessary measures to avoid problems with traffic shot "and recalled that" you should only leave home in exceptional cases by the State of Alarm, increasing caution behind the wheel and following the instructions of the agents. "
