The third area will be the supply of pharmacy costs and special food for children worth 14,000 euros.
Finally, in fourth place, an agreement has been reached with 6 taxi drivers so that they can bring drugs or basic food to citizens of Mazarrón for 5 euros and of Camposol, Country Club and districts for 10 euros.
In the case of people without resources, the payment will be borne by the city council.
A measure that "anticipates that a worse situation may be suffered since, fortunately, Civil Protection and the Red Cross are offering this service in an excellent way at the moment," said Campillo.
The rest of the budgeted plan, 514,040 euros, will be used to buy sanitary materials and products for the different departments of the consistory such as the municipal brigade, Local Police, Civil Protection and minimum services of the city council in order to continue to take extra safety precautions.
Also within this amount, direct economic aid and subsidies are being articulated for the self-employed, businesses and SMEs in the municipality.
A second phase will revolve around the exemption from paying taxes for a period of 6 months, such as the garbage rate for shops, bars and restaurants, for which establishments will save 103,956 euros.
An exemption is also contemplated from the payment of occupation of public roads by the establishments, supply squares and flea market with which these will save 163,043 euros.
Low-income families also benefit from the garbage rate reduction tax.
Ginés Campillo explained that "the increase in the minimum wage approved by the Government of Spain has been taken into account, expanding the range of the City Council's zero quota among beneficiary citizens that have gone from 1053 to 2000, which will save 167,288 euros. Also There has been an extension of the reduced rate of this payment that will mean up to a saving of 60,191 euros among residents who go from 89 to 1,200 beneficiaries, "explained the mayor," reaching 494,000 euros of savings in homes and businesses. "
Ginés Campillo has summarized that "all these measures represent an injection of more than 1 million euros into the local economy, both from the part contributed by the City Council and from the savings from tax exemptions. This morning the mayor signed the decree to implement all these measures that will be implemented starting tomorrow by Social Services. "
The mayor responsible for the Treasury has remarked that "since we have a town hall with the accounts cleared, this is the time to make this effort, quickly and agilely, to alleviate the economic crisis that will bring the effects of the exceptional situation we are living in. citizens and businesses "highlighting that" is done for a period of 4 to 6 months, and not just the 3 months that this situation is expected to last, so that once it opens, those 3 more months, to continue supporting its economic activity and not only during the period when they are closed.
