| The consistory will resume normality over the next few days with the celebration of the collegiate bodies such as the Municipal Plenum | The Deputy Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has announced that the Mazarrón City Council has purchased a total of 6,520 masks.
This morning the mayor, Gaspar Miras, and the mayor himself, have verified the shipment of the first 1,300 that, along with those that will arrive in the next few days, will be distributed among municipal workers and municipal organizations and associations such as the Red Cross or Cáritas, among others. These associations may both make use of them to carry out their work with greater security, and distribute them among the citizens who request them.
In addition, Mobel Sport, the company that has made them, will donate 0.15 cents for each unit to the group 'Mascarillas solidarity' of Mazarrón so that they can also continue with the work of manufacturing more of these articles that are necessary to face the coronavirus pandemic. Campillo has also announced that the City Council will return to normality over the next few days with the celebration of the collegiate bodies, as is the case of the Municipal Plenary that will be resumed this Tuesday, April 28 and that will be held in compliance with the measures set by the health authorities .
The new economic measures that the council is going to implement to mitigate the effects of the current health crisis in the establishments and citizens of the municipality will also be announced in the coming days. The deputy mayor has welcomed that the positive cases of coronavirus in Mazarrón remain at 18 and has urged everyone to work together to stop the virus and its consequences.
In this sense, Campillo has urged to give "a show of union by all the political forces of the municipal corporation, beyond political ideologies, since the important thing is to row everyone in the same direction so that the current situation has the least possible impact on Mazarroneros ".
