| The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, has praised the good behavior of citizens while maintaining confinement regulations | Mazarrón is shown as one of the municipalities with the least mobility per inhabitant in Spain during the State of Alarm, as extracted from the data offered by the official website of the National Statistics Institute (INE). As revealed by the 'Study of the mobility of the population during the state of alarm' that the INE has prepared from the movements of mobile phones, the percentage of inhabitants of Mazarrón who have left outside their area of ??residence since decreed the confinement caused by the coronavirus pandemic is one of the lowest in the Region of Murcia, including Spain.
