| The Councilor for the Environment urges citizens to renew our commitment to nature by firmly betting on a real ecological transition | Today, the Mazarrón Ecopark, located in the Pedreras Viejas area, reopens its doors after the closure motivated by the State of Alarm.
The schedule is the same as before its temporary closure, that is, from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m.
to 2 p.m.
and from 5 to 7 p.m.
and Saturdays from 8 a.m.
to 12 p.m.
Due to the health alert, more than one vehicle and only two people per vehicle may not stay in the Ecopark at the same time.
In addition, the measures regarding physical distance and hygiene recommended by the health authorities and the use of mandatory face masks.In this selective waste collection facility, citizens can deposit free of charge those less common waste, which have no place in the containers installed on public roads.
Likewise, they can use the Ecopark, and always free of charge, those shops, offices and services whose waste production and their nature, can be considered similar to the waste generated in private homes.The Councilor for the Environment, Plácida Gómez, has urged citizens "to renew our commitment to the environment and make use of this facility" since "with the current pandemic, we have seen how the effect of human beings on nature is very large, verifying in these weeks of confinement how natural spaces have been regenerated in record time, something of which we must be aware, improving our relationship with the environment and decisively betting on a real ecological transition to help us cope.
