| Mazarrón is among the 5 municipalities with the most blue flags in Spain | Mazarrón has revalidated its 10 blue flags awarded by the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC).
Of the total, 8 flags have been awarded to the beaches of El Rihuete, El Puerto, Bahía / LaReya, Nares, Playagramde / Castellar, El Alamillo, El Mojón and Percheles.
The other 2 remaining correspond to the Sports Port and the Racing Club, which also receive this type of distinction. Mazarrón is among the 5 municipalities with the most blue flags in Spain and is also the second municipality with the most flags in the Region of Murcia, which achieved a total of 32 distinctions this year, one more than last year, with 26 beaches and 6 award-winning marinas. This year ADEAC wanted to emphasize this year through its report on the importance of prevention against coronavirus, respecting the social distancing and hygiene measures set by the health authorities in order to reduce the risks of the Covid-19 pandemic and that they can continue to enjoy the beaches this summer.
