The Councilor for Sports, Francisco José García, explained that "with this improvement we respond to a demand both from the sports clubs that carry out their matches here, and from the fathers and mothers who attend the training of the children and young people who they do sport in these facilities ". Francisco José García added that "the work has been awarded and carried out by Mazarron companies." Specifically, the project work has gone to CYD Engineering and the execution work to Jesús Aguirre Locksmiths, and has involved an investment of 48,000 euros.

The person in charge of Sports has revealed that "during the next months and years of the legislature, new improvements will be undertaken with more facilities to carry out other sports apart from those that we already have, as well as the installation of another pergola in the other tier that we have in the soccer fields ". CYD co-director and responsible for the work, Cristóbal García, accompanied by the person in charge of construction, Jesús Aguirre; He explained that "the pergola is 99 meters long by 7 wide, which amounts to almost 700 square meters, on a new foundation that was carried out by lifting the entire tier, generating a continuous foundation that braces and reinforces the existing one " The new pillars were thus cemented "having more work below the surface than on what you see" explained Cristóbal García, who added that "the highest quality certified steel has been used". In addition, no changes have had to be made to the original project, since "there has been very good coordination between the City Council, the builder and our project company.

Especially when choosing the foundation and sheet metal to give the desired aesthetics "explained Cristóbal García, who has finally highlighted" that a functional improvement has been achieved that provides shade and protection against rain for an installation of this style ". The local CYD engineering, in charge of drafting the project and contracting the works, is a Mazarron company made up of partners Cristóbal García and Diego López.
