| The Mirador del Cabezo de la Reya has become the perfect place for the development of theater, music and literature shows | To the rhythm of the music.
Last weekend, specifically on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, Miraband's, an initiative developed jointly by the departments of Culture and Citizen Participation, ended the programming of cultural events planned for this summer 2020.
Thanks to it Various music groups in the municipality had the opportunity to return to a stage and demonstrate the importance of music and culture, as they have been one of the sectors most affected by the crisis generated as a result of Covid-19. In this way, music was in charge of turning off the spotlights on the Mirador del Cabezo de la Reya (Bay Viewpoint) stage, which has proven to be the perfect place to develop any activity in this unusual season; always governed by a strict protocol with all the hygienic-sanitary safeguards set by the authorities such as distancing, use of hydro-alcoholic gel, disinfection of chairs, controlled access and limited capacity. In this sense, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, José María Moreno, stressed that "the leisure, culture and music sectors have been greatly damaged by the current situation, therefore our objective with Miraband's was to give a new opportunity to music groups from the municipality, our people, to continue growing in the musical field and that of course they do not fall into oblivion.
" In addition, he stressed that "Mares de Papel has been an example of a safe event, we have shown that culture is necessary and possible in any situation, since the important thing is to treat this type of event with responsibility and a good security protocol." Mazarrón has become a cultural reference at a regional and national level.

Well, thanks to the 'Rafael García Castillo Theater Festival', the public could feel the sensitivity that characterizes theater; from drama to humor.
The music also made them vibrate, thanks to the acoustic concert by Juan Perro or Curro Piñana, the piano by Juan Miguel Murani moved the audience of the Erosiones de Bolnuevo and the Funambulista music group gave them back their desire to 'start over'. In the same way, the 'LOVE AND HAPPINESS' cycle has helped to discover the tricks and secrets of life.
Well, Ángel López Naranjo taught that "the secret is in your attitude"; Valerie Tassó showed that naturalness and spontaneity no matter what else is one of the secrets of happiness; Silvia de Bejar that trust and communication are important and Rafael Santandreu that we need less than we think. But not only that, the 'MARES DE PAPEL' cycle reminded us that culture never dies, hand in hand with the literary creation of Marta Robles; Victor del Arbol's devotion to literature; the passion for the Roman and historical world of Santiago Posteguillo and love as salvation for the world of Máxim Huerta. For his part, the Deputy Mayor for Culture stressed that "we are very happy with the response and reception of the public to the cultural events held this summer, and not only for this, but also for the quality of the conferences and their speakers, of the events and their organizers ". In addition, Ginés Campillo explained that the forecast for this winter is still not certain due to the different restrictions that are presented every day by Covid-19, but "what we have no doubt about is that we have a great capacity to reinvent ourselves, and I believe that we have shown it, so we are going to go step by step, studying the possibilities we have for each moment, but with total security I can say that culture has not stopped and it will not stop ".
