The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure begins work on the road that connects Cartagena with Mazarrón (RM-E22) to improve road safety.
Specifically, a double wave safety barrier will be installed with a length of 900 meters; Likewise, concrete will be poured under the barrier and on the shoulder to avoid the development of weeds that impede the visibility of the barrier and avoid manual clearing of the barrier, since this area presents great access difficulties for the conservation services of roads.The Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, and the Councilor for Infrastructures, Services and Litoral of the City of Cartagena, María Casajús, visited today the action that will benefit more than 3,000 users who circulate daily on this section.Fernández Lladó announced that, as a complement to this action, his department will carry out an audit of road safety on the section, to determine if it is advisable to reinforce this action with others of the type improvement of signaling or beaconing.
This report will be completed before the end of this year.
