| The image of La Purísima de Bolnuevo will be able to be venerated in the Sanctuary of Mazarrón starting this Sunday | The parish priest of Mazarrón, Antonio José Martínez, and the mayor of the municipality, Gaspar Miras, accompanied by the councilors of Festejos and Pedanías, Miguel Ángel Peña and José María Moreno, have presented the scheduled events to commemorate the Miracle of La Purísima that this year will be mainly liturgical, given the impossibility of celebrating the traditional pilgrimage as well as the playful acts that surround this celebration. The parish priest explained that "as of this Sunday the liturgical celebrations begin, which will all be held in the Sanctuary of La Purísima where the image of the Virgin that is venerated in Bolnuevo will already be installed." The 'Dramatized Reading of the Nine Declarations' will take place on Monday at 9 pm with the participation of IES Domingo Valdivieso.

On Tuesday, 'Day of the Miracle', the solemn Eucharist will be celebrated at 12 noon during which the mayor will renew the Vow of the Villa to the patron saint of Mazarrón. In the afternoon, from five o'clock, the neighbors will be able to attend the delivery of food and flowers to the Virgin but without the parade that is usually done from the nursing home.

Another of the outstanding events, with which the acts of worship will close, will be the mass in the Ermita de Bolnuevo on Sunday 22 at 10:30 in the morning and that will end with the emotional trovos that cheer up the massive pilgrimage that will have to wait for next year. The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, explained that "this year is a different year but for that reason we are not going to stop celebrating and honoring our 'Virgen del Milagro' even though due to the pandemic we cannot hold mass events".

In this sense, the mayor has added that "due to the issue of capacity in both the Sanctuary and the Hermitage, only a certain number of people can attend.
